Final Day of our Norwegian Epic Cruise St. Kitts
Our final day of the cruise was a stop over in St. Kitts. We decided to take a guided bus tour around the island to see as much as we could. It was an extraordinary experience getting to see so much of the island. We arrived early in the morning and met in the port to get into our groups. From there we took a bus from the port to Caribelle Batik where they make beautiful dyed fabrics and clothing. It was surrounded by beautiful flowers and historical structures.
From there we took the bus through the island to Brimstone Hill Fortress. Where we had amazing view of the historical fortress and much of the surrounding island. I have to say this is a must see location in St. Kitts.
From the fort we took another short trip across the island to Timothy Hill Overlook. It had some great views overlooking some of the resort areas of the island. It provided some amazing views. It was also one of the busier spots we stopped in. There were a variety of souvinier vendors and at least 10 other tour busses stopped around the area.
We were then dropped off a tthe Port Lante Food Court that allowed us to get some really good Jerk chicken and even some ice cream. There was a bar serving drinks, entertainers playing music and dancing too. It was a great final stop of the trip that allowed us to relax before hoping back on the ship. They even had a pool that was available for people to hop into if you had your swim suit with you.
Back on board we ate in the main dining room for dinner, for one of the only times on the ship. It was a lovely meal. We started off with a smoked mozzarella ravioli, roasted butternut squash soup, and bouillabaisse. We both had the Caesar salad. For the main course Keenan had the Veal and Holly had the Seafood Orzo. We unfortunately had no room at all for the desert.
It was the final night of the cruise and because of that we were exhausted, so we went back to the room early to pack and prepare for traveling the next day back to Chicago. It was a fantastic cruise and we were very happy with Norwegian Cruise Line and the Norwegian Epic. Thank you for reading and checking out the pictures and the video!
